The ageing process can go one of two ways: With age, things either become decrepit and fall apart or gain character and accumulate beauty. This unique beauty is characterized by a complexity that can only be achieved through the passage of time and is becoming increasingly rare. I created this space as a tribute to the elusive beauty of true quality.

I’m a sucker for a well worn pair of denim. For me, denim is the pinnacle of fabric that ages well. Over time a pair of quality raw denim conforms to the shape of the wearer and, with some work, fades in all the right places creating a perfectly unique garment. The roping and stacks at the leg opening, the honeycombs behind the knees, the whiskers in the lap, and the vertical fades on the front and back of the thighs develop a beautiful patina in stark contrast with the crisp deep indigo of the denim in places which don’t see as much abrasion. This is an old pair of Skull5010xx worn for two or three years which I left back home in Toronto and miss dearly. (Belt is TannerGoods)
